Flynas Announces Expansion In UAE With New Routes Starting September 2024
In a significant move to enhance air travel connectivity, flynas has unveiled its ambitious plan to expand its network within the UAE market. This announcement was made during the Arabian Travel Market 2024 held in Dubai. Starting from September 2024, flynas is set to become the sole airline from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to operate flights to all four major airports in the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) in Dubai, alongside its existing operations.
Currently operating four routes between KSA and UAE, flynas aims to increase this number to nine routes. This expansion will allow the airline to offer more than 20 daily flights between the two countries, marking a significant increase in air travel options for passengers. Bander Almohanna, the Managing Director and CEO of flynas, expressed enthusiasm about this development, stating it reflects flynas' commitment to enhancing air connectivity under the slogan "We Connect The World With the Kingdom".

Almohanna further highlighted that this expansion is part of flynas' broader growth and expansion strategy. It aligns with the National Civil Aviation Strategy's goals of connecting KSA with 250 international destinations and accommodating 330 million passengers annually by 2030. Additionally, it supports the objectives of the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP) aimed at facilitating access to the Two Holy Mosques.
The expansion includes new flights from flynas' operational bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Madinah to various destinations within the UAE. Notably, new routes will be introduced from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh to Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah to Shaikh Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, as well as flights to Sharjah International Airport from both Jeddah and Madinah.
flynas has established itself as a leading low-cost carrier (LCC), connecting over 70 domestic and international destinations with more than 1500 weekly flights. Since its inception in 2007, flynas has transported more than 78 million passengers. The airline's vision aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to reach 165 domestic and international destinations.
The airline's commitment to excellence has been recognized internationally, earning it several prestigious awards. In 2023 alone, flynas was awarded the Skytrax International Award as the 4th Best LCC worldwide and named the Best Low-cost Airline in the Middle East for the sixth consecutive year. Additionally, it received the Leading Low-cost Airline Award in the Middle East from the World Travel Awards for the ninth consecutive year.
Passengers looking to travel with flynas can book their flights through various channels including the official website www.flynas.com, the flynas mobile app, their call centre at 920001234, or through travel agents. This expansion is a testament to flynas' ongoing efforts to enhance air travel connectivity between KSA and UAE, offering passengers more flexibility and options for their travel plans.
