Flynas And Safran Collaborate To Enhance A320neo Aircraft With Latest-Generation Seats

flynas, a prominent Saudi airline, has entered into an agreement with Safran, a leading aircraft seat manufacturer. This partnership will see flynas' new Airbus A320neo planes equipped with advanced seats, enhancing comfort in low-cost aviation. The deal was formalised during the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, attended by key figures from both companies.

The collaboration aims to install specially designed economy-class seats in flynas' cabins. These seats boast unique features, smart cushion designs, and modern technologies to improve passenger comfort. Given that flynas operates A320neo aircraft on flights lasting up to six hours, these seats are ideal for medium- and long-haul journeys.

Bander Almohanna, Managing Director and CEO of flynas, highlighted the strategic nature of this partnership with Safran. He stated that it is part of their broader growth strategy aligned with Saudi Arabia's National Civil Aviation Strategy. This plan seeks to connect the country with 250 international destinations and accommodate millions of passengers annually by 2030.

Quentin Munier from Safran expressed enthusiasm about this initial collaboration with flynas. He emphasised the benefits of the new Z200 seats for both passengers and airlines. "This marks our first collaboration with flynas, and we are delighted to support its operations in the coming years," Munier said.

The new seating arrangement is part of flynas' initiative to become the world's best low-cost carrier. Currently ranked as the top low-cost airline in the Middle East and fourth globally by Skytrax, flynas aims to further elevate its status through these enhancements.

Almohanna also mentioned that this partnership supports the objectives of the Pilgrims Experience Program. The program aims to facilitate access to Saudi Arabia's Two Holy Mosques, aligning with national tourism goals.

This agreement signifies a significant step for flynas as it continues to innovate within the aviation industry. By integrating cutting-edge seat technology, flynas is setting new standards for comfort in budget air travel.
