Flynas Reports Significant Growth With 51% More Passengers In Q1 2024

Flynas, the Saudi Arabian airline, has recently shared its operational results for the first quarter of 2024, revealing significant growth compared to the same period in 2023. The airline has experienced a remarkable 51% increase in passenger numbers, welcoming 3.7 million passengers on board. This growth is part of flynas's ongoing strategy to expand its fleet and services in response to rising passenger demand.

With a notable 43% increase in overall seat capacity during Q1 of 2024, flynas attributes this success to both domestic and international route expansions, which saw increases of 45% and 40% respectively. Bander Almohanna, the Managing Director and CEO of flynas, highlighted the airline's effective growth strategy, leveraging the Kingdom's economic expansion and increased passenger demand to broaden its customer base.

Almohanna emphasized the airline's commitment to connecting the world with the Kingdom and supporting the development of Saudi Arabia's tourism and aviation sectors. Flynas aims to align with the National Civil Aviation Strategy and the Pilgrims Experience Program to further capitalize on growth opportunities.

The National Civil Aviation Strategy plays a crucial role in flynas's operations, aiming to connect Saudi Arabia with 250 international destinations, accommodate 330 million passengers, and host 100 million tourists annually by 2030. In pursuit of these goals, flynas launched 39 new routes to 18 destinations across 10 new countries in 2023 and inaugurated its fourth operations base at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah.

Flynas operates over 1,500 weekly flights to more than 70 destinations globally. The airline's commitment to excellence was recognized internationally when it received the Skytrax International Award as the 4th "Best LCC worldwide" and the "Best Low-cost Airline in the Middle East" in 2023 for the sixth consecutive year. Additionally, it was awarded the "Best Low-cost Airline Award" in the Middle East by the World Travel Awards in 2024 for the tenth consecutive year.

This impressive growth and recognition underscore flynas's position as a leading airline not only within the Kingdom but also on a global scale.
