Flynas Expands Network With New Direct Flights From Madinah To Sphinx Airport In Cairo Starting December 11

flynas, a prominent low-cost airline, is set to launch three weekly direct flights between Prince Muhammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah and Sphinx Airport in Cairo. This move aligns with flynas' growth strategy and national aviation goals. Starting December 11, flights will operate on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, enhancing the airline's network from its new base at Madinah Airport.

The expansion is part of flynas' strategy titled "We Connect the World to the Kingdom." This initiative supports the National Civil Aviation Strategy's aim to link Saudi Arabia with 250 international destinations by 2030. The plan also seeks to accommodate 330 million passengers and host 150 million tourists annually.

New flynas Flights from Madinah to Cairo

flynas currently operates over 120 weekly direct flights connecting Saudi Arabia and Egypt. These flights link five Saudi cities—Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Madinah, and Al-Ula—with Egyptian destinations such as Cairo, Sohag, Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada, and El Alamein. The addition of the new route from Madinah to Cairo further strengthens these connections.

Cairo is already accessible via flynas flights to both Cairo International Airport and Sphinx International Airport. The latter will soon receive direct flights from Madinah in addition to existing services from Riyadh and Jeddah. This expansion supports the Pilgrim Experience Program (PEP), which aims to facilitate access to the Two Holy Mosques.

Since its inception in 2007, flynas has transported over 80 million passengers. The airline currently connects more than 70 domestic and international destinations with over 1,500 weekly flights. It aims to expand its reach to 165 destinations worldwide as part of Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.

This ambitious growth plan not only enhances connectivity but also contributes significantly to national tourism and economic goals. By increasing flight frequencies and adding new routes, flynas plays a crucial role in achieving these targets.

The introduction of new routes like Madinah-Cairo exemplifies flynas' commitment to expanding its network while supporting broader national strategies. These efforts are integral to positioning Saudi Arabia as a global aviation hub by the end of this decade.
