Flynas Aims For Higher Saudi Pilot Localization With New Future Pilots Program

This initiative is set to accept 100 Co-pilots starting March 8, marking a significant step towards enhancing the localization of aviation professionals within the Kingdom. The announcement comes as flynas opens its doors to a new batch of applicants for the year 2024, with the objective of increasing the localization rate of Captain Pilot positions. This move follows the airline's successful achievement of filling all Co-pilot positions with Saudi nationals since 2019.

To qualify for this prestigious program, applicants are required to meet several criteria. These include passing an English language proficiency test, accumulating a minimum total flight time of 240 hours—comprising 215 hours for Single Engine and 25 hours for Multi Engine—holding a GACA or ICAO equivalent Multi-Engine Land CPL/IR pilot certificate, and possessing a valid GACA first-class medical certificate. Since its inception in 2007, flynas has been dedicated to nurturing a new generation of qualified pilots through the Future Pilots program. This initiative underscores the airline's commitment to leveraging the potential of ambitious Saudi youth in shaping the future of aviation in the Kingdom.

The Future Pilots program is distinguished by its comprehensive approach, combining theoretical studies, practical learning, and actual flight training.
