Flydubai Expands Its European Network With Four New Destinations In 2025

flydubai, a Dubai-based airline, is expanding its network by introducing flights to four new destinations. Starting in September 2025, flights will commence to Chișinău and Iași, followed by Riga and Vilnius in December 2025. This expansion increases flydubai's European network to 35 destinations across 20 countries.

The airline becomes the first from the UAE to offer direct flights between Dubai and Iași International Airport (IAS) in Romania. flydubai began its Romanian operations in 2012 with flights to Bucharest. Additionally, this marks flydubai's inaugural entry into the Baltic region with direct services to Riga International Airport (RIX) in Latvia and Vilnius International Airport (VNO) in Lithuania.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, stated, "The expansion of our network reflects our unwavering commitment to opening up underserved markets and stimulating free flows of trade and tourism, and we are pleased to see this happen with the launch of our latest destinations in Europe."

flydubai's network now includes more than 135 destinations, with 75% being underserved routes from Dubai. The new services aim to enhance trade and cultural connections between the UAE and these regions while supporting Dubai’s status as an international aviation hub.

Jeyhun Efendi, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai, commented on the launch: "Europe remains an important market for flydubai and we are excited to grow our network with the addition of Chișinău, Iași, Riga and Vilnius."

Enhanced Travel Experience

The new routes into Eastern Europe and the Baltic region will provide passengers with a better travel experience. They will have convenient access to Dubai and beyond through flydubai's network as well as Emirates' network via their codeshare partnership.

This expansion increases the number of underserved markets on flydubai’s network to over 100 destinations. The airline continues its mission of connecting more places directly from Dubai.
