Sharjah Launches First Introductory Tour For Prophet's Neighbours Endowment Project
The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation recently launched its first introductory tour for the "Prophet's Neighbours Endowment" project at the Sharjah International Airport Authority. This initiative is part of a promotional strategy aimed at raising awareness about the project. The event saw significant engagement from both employees and visitors, highlighting the community's interest in supporting orphans through this humanitarian effort.
Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah International Airport Authority, stressed the importance of backing humanitarian and community projects. He noted that these initiatives are crucial to the authority's strategic goals, which aim to serve the local community and achieve national objectives. Al Midfa also mentioned that participating in these tours aligns with Sharjah's vision of fostering social solidarity and securing a better future for orphans.

Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, highlighted that these tours help promote charitable endowments and encourage community involvement in supporting orphans. She stated that such initiatives are vital for sustainable social development. The positive response at Sharjah International Airport Authority reflects the community's support for Sharjah's humanitarian efforts under its wise leadership.
The foundation set up an interactive pavilion at the airport authority's headquarters, which attracted many attendees. Visitors learned about the endowment project's goals, including supporting orphans and encouraging contributions to this noble cause. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi has shown great interest in this project, further boosting its significance.
At the pavilion, visitors were informed about various ways to contribute to the endowment. Options include regular monthly deductions or joining the "Endowment Dirham Initiative," where donors can give one dirham daily. Additionally, individuals can purchase endowment bonds in different amounts to suit their preferences.
The foundation also offers donation options via SMS or direct bank transfers. Donors can also use the "Prophet's Neighbours" electronic platform for their contributions. These diverse methods make it easier for people to participate in this charitable endeavour.
Future Plans
The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation plans to continue organising introductory tours for the "Prophet's Neighbours Endowment" project across various government and private entities in Sharjah. This effort aims to promote social responsibility and spread awareness about charitable endowments among community members.
Al Midfa explained that adopting such initiatives demonstrates the authority's dedication to expanding its developmental role. It also helps consolidate Sharjah Airport’s position as a key player in supporting economic and social development plans within the emirate.
