First Expenditure Efficiency Forum In Riyadh Highlights Importance Of Effective Planning And Waste Reduction

The inaugural Expenditure Efficiency Forum, hosted by the Expenditure Efficiency and Projects Authority (EXPRO), began in Riyadh. The event was under the patronage of Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance and EXPRO Chairman. Al-Jadaan highlighted that effective expenditure is about maximizing impact through precise planning rather than cutting costs. He stated, "Expenditure efficiency means achieving the desired impact at the lowest cost without compromising service quality."

Al-Jadaan emphasized that long-term planning is crucial for achieving expenditure efficiency. This approach involves strategic foresight to ensure resources are used effectively. He noted that pre-emptive planning allows for efficient spending through a clear methodology. This ensures that financial resources are allocated in a way that maximizes their impact while maintaining high service standards.

The forum's main session, titled "Minimizing Waste: Methodologies and Applications in Expenditure Efficiency," featured key speakers like Eng. Ahmed Al-Suwaiyan, Governor of the Digital Government Authority, Eng. Abdulrazzaq Al-Aujan, EXPRO CEO, and Nasser Al-Huqbani, CEO of the Health Holding Company. They discussed reducing waste to enhance operational and financial performance and improve project quality.

On the first day, attendees engaged in interactive workshops blending theory with practice. These sessions showcased global best practices in government expenditure management.
