Dubai's Financial Audit Authority Honours First Government Auditor Program Graduates
The Financial Audit Authority (FAA) recently celebrated a significant milestone in its efforts to bolster the auditing capabilities within Dubai's government entities. In a ceremony that marked the culmination of the Government Auditor Programme, 20 graduates from 14 different government bodies were awarded the Government Auditor diploma. This accolade, a joint accreditation by the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) and the FAA, underscores the programme's commitment to enhancing the auditing profession in Dubai.
The initiative is part of a broader strategy to ensure the effective auditing of public funds, fostering an environment of accountability, transparency, and integrity. By equipping auditors with state-of-the-art skills and knowledge, the programme aims to elevate the proficiency of those tasked with this critical function.

Abdulrahman Al Hareb, Director-General of the FAA, expressed his satisfaction with the programme's success, stating, "This marks a crucial step in our commitment to bolstering the financial auditing system throughout Dubai." He also acknowledged the pivotal role of the MBRSG in developing and executing this initiative.
Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of the MBRSG, highlighted the programme's objective to provide world-class training in financial auditing. "The Government Auditor Program is designed to equip auditors with the necessary skills to effectively carry out their responsibilities," he noted, emphasizing the importance of such training for good governance.
The programme is structured into three phases: academic training, practical training, and an optional phase for preparation for professional certifications. This comprehensive approach ensures that participants not only gain theoretical knowledge but also have the opportunity to apply these insights in real-world settings within governmental entities.
By fostering a collaborative effort between the MBRSG and FAA, this initiative not only aims to enhance individual capabilities but also contributes significantly to improving the financial auditing landscape across Dubai's governmental entities. The successful graduation of its inaugural cohort is a testament to the programme's potential in shaping a new generation of skilled auditors dedicated to upholding the highest standards of financial governance.
