Film AlUla Collaborates With MBS MENA Limited To Enhance Film Production In The Region
The Royal Commission for AlUla's film agency, Film AlUla, has entered into an agreement with MBS MENA Limited to manage and operate AlUla Studios exclusively. MBS MENA is a newly formed regional branch of The MBS Group, a leading global studio operator. This collaboration aims to establish AlUla as a key location for film production in the region.
This partnership introduces AlUla Studios as the latest addition to The MBS Group’s extensive network of 50 facilities worldwide. These facilities are located in major production markets across the United States, Canada, and Europe. They are used for filming high-profile productions. The collaboration is expected to enhance production infrastructure and management standards throughout the Middle East.

MBS MENA Limited will work closely with Film AlUla to develop a strong production pipeline. Their goal is to ensure efficient studio operations by maximizing occupancy rates and streamlining production schedules. They will also manage leasing arrangements for both local and international projects.
This partnership marks The MBS Group's first operational presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It brings the same high standards seen at its flagship facilities in North America and Europe to this new location. The collaboration aims to elevate AlUla as a benchmark for production infrastructure in the region.
Jason Hariton, chief studio and real-estate officer at The MBS Group, stated: "We see AlUla as a premier destination for global content creators." He highlighted the city's proximity to stunning landscapes, top-notch accommodation, and attractive financial incentives for filmmakers as key advantages.
Zaid Shaker, acting executive director of Film AlUla, described the partnership as "a strategic leap forward in our mission to position AlUla as the premier production hub in the region." This collaboration is expected to significantly boost AlUla's appeal as a film production destination.
The introduction of AlUla Studios into The MBS Group’s global network signifies a major development for the region's film industry. By aligning with a globally recognized studio brand, Saudi Arabia strengthens its position as a leading production hub in the Middle East.
