Filipino Conjoined Twins Begin Medical Evaluation In Riyadh For Possible Separation

Under the auspices of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's humanitarian outreach, Filipino Siamese twins, Akhizah and Ayeesha Yosoph, accompanied by their parents, have arrived in Riyadh as part of a Saudi evacuation plan. The operation, orchestrated by the Ministry of Health, saw the family landing at King Khalid International Airport on Sunday. Following their arrival, the twins were immediately transferred to the King Abdullah Specialized Children's Hospital (KASCH) under the Ministry of National Guard's care. Here, a dedicated medical team is currently evaluating the feasibility of conducting a separation surgery for the twins.

This compassionate initiative was set into motion by directives from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, who also heads the medical team for this case, extended his profound gratitude towards the Saudi leaders for their continuous support. Dr. Al Rabeeah praised their commitment to the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program and their broader humanitarian efforts.
