FII Institute And Digital Cooperation Organization Partner To Advance Inclusive AI Adoption In Emerging Markets

The Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute and the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) have signed a memorandum of understanding to boost the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in emerging markets. This collaboration aims to enhance FII Institute’s AI Initiative, expand joint events, and create thought-leadership publications. The agreement aligns with the theme of FII9, "The Key to Prosperity: Unlocking New Frontiers of Growth," scheduled in Riyadh from October 27 to 30, 2025.

The memorandum outlines collaborative efforts in three main areas: AI Inclusion, FII Conclaves, and Publications. These workstreams aim to ensure that emerging markets benefit from AI advancements. The DCO will act as a Knowledge Partner for FII Institute’s AI Initiative, supporting both FII9 and subsequent programs. This partnership is crucial for fostering inclusive digital growth across global markets.

Richard Attias, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Acting CEO of the FII Institute, stated: "AI sits at the core of FII Institute’s strategy for an inclusive digital future. Partnering with the DCO expands our ability to ensure fast-growing digital economies benefit from AI adoption, not only in Saudi Arabia but across global markets."

Signing this MoU during UNGA underscores our shared commitment to ensuring digital prosperity is inclusive, sustainable, and borderless."

The DCO is a pioneering intergovernmental body focused on accelerating inclusive digital growth. It represents 16 Member States with a combined GDP exceeding $3.5 trillion and a population of 800 million people. The organization promotes cross-border cooperation and forward-thinking policies within the digital economy.

Fostering Innovation

The FII Institute is a global non-profit foundation driven by data, innovation, and impact through its THINK, XCHANGE, ACT pillars. It supports actionable solutions in AI, sustainability, healthcare, and education. The upcoming FII9 event will host leaders for discussions aimed at transforming dialogue into deals and policy roadmaps.

This MoU complements the Institute’s ongoing AI Inclusive initiative by providing emerging markets with access to funding, expertise, and capacity-building resources necessary for equitable AI adoption.
