Fifth Hajj Conference And Exhibition Launches In Jeddah With Royal Patronage To Enhance Pilgrim Services

The fifth Hajj Conference and Exhibition commenced in Jeddah, under the auspices of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. This year's theme is "From Makkah to the World". The event is a collaboration between the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Pilgrim Experience Program, part of Saudi Vision 2030.

Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfig Al-Rabiah highlighted that the conference showcases the Kingdom's dedication to enhancing Hajj services. This aligns with Vision 2030, aiming to provide worshippers with a seamless and enriching spiritual journey. He noted that over 60% of pilgrim contracts are completed, and half of the holy sites are ready, with full readiness expected by Dhu al-Qi'dah 1st.

Fifth Hajj Conference Opens in Jeddah

The event also marked the launch of the History of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques Forum, organized by the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah). Attendees included ministers, senior officials, representatives from Islamic countries, and heads of Hajj affairs offices. The ceremony began with a speech from King Salman, delivered by Deputy Governor Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz.

In his speech, King Salman reiterated Saudi Arabia's unwavering commitment to serving pilgrims. He emphasized ongoing efforts to enhance services at the two holy mosques, ensuring visitors can perform rituals comfortably. These initiatives continue the legacy started by King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud.

The Nusuk app has gained significant traction worldwide, now boasting over 40 million users. This digital tool is part of broader efforts to streamline pilgrim experiences through technology. Following speeches at the event, various agreements were signed among participating entities to boost cooperation in technology and service quality for pilgrims.

The conference will run until November 12, featuring more than 143 dialogue sessions and workshops. These sessions include contributions from leading experts and speakers representing over 150 countries. Such gatherings aim to foster knowledge exchange and innovation in Hajj services.

Saudi Arabia remains committed to advancing its services for pilgrims visiting Makkah. Through initiatives like this conference and ongoing technological advancements, the Kingdom seeks to ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience for all attendees.
