FIFA Unveils Emblem And Audio Signature For Inaugural Club World Cup
FIFA has revealed the emblem for the first 32-team FIFA Club World Cup™, marking a significant milestone in club football history. This event, set to take place in the United States next year, promises to be the most inclusive competition ever.
The FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ will run from 15th June to 13th July 2025. It will feature teams from each of the six continental confederations: AFC (Asia), CAF (Africa), Concacaf (North, Central America and the Caribbean), CONMEBOL (South America), OFC (Oceania), and UEFA (Europe). This format aims to redefine how club world champions are determined.

UAE's Al Ain FC, recent winners of the AFC, will participate in this upcoming tournament. The competition is part of FIFA’s strategy to offer more match opportunities at both national-team and club levels for all member associations, aligning with their objectives for the 2023-2027 cycle.
The emblem for this tournament draws inspiration from football history and culture. It incorporates the initials "C – W – C" into a circular icon, symbolising the essence of the game. This emblem will be adapted for future editions of the tournament.
Gala's "Freed from Desire," a popular football anthem among fans, has been chosen as the audio signature for this event. Additionally, FIFA has launched 'Take it to the World,' encouraging fans to showcase what makes their clubs unique.
Qualification and Participation
To date, 30 out of 32 teams have secured their spots in the tournament. The remaining two slots will be filled by an additional club from CONMEBOL and a representative from the host country. The qualification process is based on sporting merit over a four-year cycle through continental club competitions.
This ensures that continental champions and consistently performing clubs are rewarded with participation in this prestigious event. The new format aims to elevate standards globally by providing more competitive opportunities.
The emblem's design includes space at its centre for FIFA to highlight elements closest to the tournament, particularly successful clubs from all six confederations competing in the United States.
This initiative underscores FIFA’s commitment to enhancing global football standards and offering more competitive matches at various levels. Fans worldwide eagerly anticipate this groundbreaking event that promises to bring together top clubs from around the globe.
