Fenaa Alawwal Sets Stage For First 'Muntada FAA' Art Forum In Riyadh

Fenaa Alawwal (FAA) has announced the launch of "Muntada FAA," scheduled to occur from 15 to 19 September 2024 at its premises in the Diplomatic Quarters, Riyadh. This forum aims to foster knowledge exchange and explore contemporary art practices within Saudi Arabia's creative transformation.

The first edition of "Muntada FAA" is co-curated with afikra and titled "Introspection: Role of Contemporary Art Practices In a Time of Change." It will highlight how collaborative and community-based art events contribute to societal participation. The event will feature five panel discussions over five days, involving 24 artists, thinkers, writers, and experts.

These discussions will cover various topics such as the role of Saudi artists in shaping the Kingdom's global image, youth culture including music, street art, and fashion, navigating creativity within structured setups, the emergence of art districts in urban centers, and the intersection of food and art.

In addition to panel discussions, "Muntada FAA" will include three keynote talks by renowned figures in arts and culture. These speakers will share their experiences and insights with attendees. The programme also features an interactive "Kitchen Lab" experience with a celebrated chef and a unique "Culinary Performance."
