Federal Youth Authority And EGA Join Forces To Enhance Development Opportunities For UAE Youth

The Federal Youth Authority (FYA) and Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) have joined forces to create unique development opportunities for young people in the UAE. This collaboration was formalised with an agreement signed at EGA's headquarters in Abu Dhabi by Khaled Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director of FYA, and Abdulnasser Bin Kalban, CEO of EGA. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, was present during the signing.

This partnership aims to establish a supportive environment that nurtures growth opportunities for young Emiratis, aligning with the National Youth Agenda 2031. Khaled Al Nuaimi expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "Empowering the youth and providing them with the skills and opportunities they need is at the heart of the national vision to shape the future. We are pleased to partner with EGA, a leading industrial company that shares our efforts and aspirations to empower a new generation that is well aware of its critical role in driving the development process."

FYA and EGA Partner for Youth Development

Abdulnasser Bin Kalban highlighted EGA's dedication to empowering young individuals as essential to fostering positive change and comprehensive development. He remarked, "EGA is committed to empowering young people and supporting their role as a key pillar in our efforts to drive positive change and support comprehensive development. The agreement with the Federal Youth Authority reflects our decades-long journey in creating development opportunities to empower the next generation of leaders, in line with the vision of our wise leadership."

EGA established its Youth Council in 2018 to emphasise the importance of youth in leading innovation and development within the UAE. The company's workforce includes over 700 employees under 35 years old. Additionally, EGA conducts outreach programmes designed to inspire young people to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

These initiatives include 'Engineer the Future' and EGA’s Ambassador Programme, which have reached more than 35,000 students since 2018. Such programmes aim to cultivate interest in STEM fields among youth, preparing them for future roles in these critical areas.

Khaled Al Nuaimi further noted that this agreement would help instil a culture of excellence and creativity among young people. He said it would enable them to contribute significantly to both economic and social progress within the UAE.

This collaboration between FYA and EGA represents a significant step towards achieving shared goals for youth empowerment. By working together closely, both organisations aim to make substantial progress on their common objectives.
