FBMA International Show Jumping Cup Commences In Abu Dhabi With 300 Riders Competing For AED 800,000 Prize Pool

The 12th FBMA International Show Jumping Cup began on Thursday at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, continuing until Sunday. This four-day event features 300 riders competing for a prize pool of AED800,000. The competition is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak and guided by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

On the first day, Mohamed Ghanem Al Hajri excelled in the CSI2 category. He outperformed 61 competitors with a flawless performance, despite a challenging field that saw 15 eliminations, two retirements, and four absences. His victory set a high standard for the competition.

FBMA Show Jumping Cup Begins in Abu Dhabi

In another highlight, Mhd Osama El Zabibi emerged victorious in the CSI2 Special Two Phases competition. He delivered a fault-free performance across both rounds, showcasing his exceptional skills and precision in handling the course.

Professional Emirati equestrian Omar Abdulaziz Al Marzooqi claimed victory in the One Round Against the Clock event. He completed the 140cm course at a speed of 350 metres per minute, demonstrating remarkable agility and speed.

In the Special Two Phases (CSIYH1-5-6-Year-Old Horses) category, CELINA 235 from the UAE secured first place. The six-year-old horse cleared obstacles ranging from 110cm to 115cm with ease, highlighting its potential and training.

Khaled Ahmad Khalifa Al Ayali Al Mheiri triumphed in the Special Two Phases (CSICh-A) category. He finished with an impressive time of 25.88 seconds, showcasing his skillful navigation through the course's challenges.

Mabkhout Owaida Alkarbi also achieved success in the Special Two Phases (CSIJ-A). His smooth handling of difficult jumps earned him first place, adding to the UAE's achievements in this prestigious event.

The FBMA International Show Jumping Cup continues to be a significant event in equestrian sports. It attracts top talent and provides a platform for riders to showcase their skills on an international stage.
