FBMA International Show Jumping Cup 2026: Final Day Highlights And Winners In Abu Dhabi
More than 150 female riders took part in the national competition during the 13th FBMA International Show Jumping Cup in Abu Dhabi, where Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, honoured the FBMA Grand Prix winner in a showcase of women’s equestrian talent at elite level.
The competition ran at the new indoor Royal Stables, hosting its first equestrian events. The setting gave female riders a structured competitive environment. Participants used the technical courses to measure their skills, gain experience under pressure, and test horses in an enclosed arena built for show jumping.
Central to the schedule was the FBMA Grand Prix at 140cms, where UAE rider Nadia Taryam secured first place. Riding Gabrielle Sol ‘Heure, Taryam claimed a share of the AED100,000 prize fund after finishing ahead of Syria’s Aya Hamcho and UAE rider Fatima Al Mulla, who took second and third.
During the awards ceremony, Sheikh Nahyan presented Taryam with the Grand Prix trophy. The ceremony also included Sheikha Shamsa bint Hasher Al Maktoum, Dr. Mugheer Khamis Alkhaili, Chairman - Department of Community Development, Dr Ahmed Alqubaisi, Dr Omniyat Al-Hajri, and Dr. Abdullah Al-Khouri, reflecting broad institutional support for women’s sport in the UAE.
Other categories delivered close contests. In the One Round Against The Clock (0.90-100cm), UAE rider Sara Alshaer posted 39.66 seconds, the fastest time in the field. That effort kept Alshaer ahead of compatriots Lamya Juma, who finished second, and Joanna Ahmad, who completed the podium in third place.

FBMA International Show Jumping Cup rider reactions and event stewardship
Pouille described what the victory meant after previously placing in the same event. Pouille said, "I am very happy to win and grateful for all the people who have believed in me. I took part in this event three years ago and finished in the top-three and it was at that moment that I dreamed of winning this show. To win this is absolutely amazing as it reflects the hard work and sacrifices that have been put in."
The final day’s programme concluded the 13th FBMA International Show Jumping Cup, organised by Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy. The event ran under the patronage of H.H.
