Sheikha Fatima Bint Hazza Unveils New HQ For Women's Sports Academy In Abu Dhabi

Under the esteemed patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, a significant development in the sports sector for women in Abu Dhabi has been unveiled. The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy has inaugurated its new headquarters, marking a pivotal moment in the advancement of women's sports in the region. This strategic move aligns with the vision of empowering women through sports and promoting a healthy lifestyle among them.

The new facility, situated between Erth Abu Dhabi Hotel and Abu Dhabi Ladies Club, spans approximately 13,870 square metres and stands opposite the iconic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. This location not only underscores the academy's commitment to fostering an ideal sports environment but also highlights its role in enhancing the urban architectural landscape of Abu Dhabi.

Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the forefront of this initiative, expressed her gratitude towards the Mother of the Nation for her unwavering support in women's empowerment. The academy is set to be a beacon for developing the women's sports movement, reflecting Sheikha Fatima's dedication to elevating women's roles in society through sports and cultural engagement.

The newly inaugurated headquarters is not just a building; it is envisioned as an architectural sports masterpiece. It houses state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor sports facilities, including a squash court, fencing hall, aerobics hall, martial arts hall, and a sports hall for volleyball, basketball, and handball. Additionally, it features an international football field, an outdoor running track, and two padel courts.

Beyond sports facilities, the building is equipped with administrative offices and a seminar hall capable of hosting up to 100 people. It also includes a library dedicated to sports research, emphasizing the academy's role in academic as well as physical education.

The integration of the latest equipment and smart operating systems within the building underscores its commitment to quality, security, safety, and environmental sustainability. This approach not only ensures a high standard of facilities but also promotes the conservation of energy resources.
