Fakeeh University Hospital Pioneers UAE's First Drone Delivery Service For Medical Supplies

The inaugural drone delivery was a milestone event, set in motion by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, on Tuesday. The drone embarked from Dubai Silicon Oasis, making its way to the Rochester Institute of Technology-Dubai (RIT-Dubai), demonstrating the operational efficiency and potential of this service to revolutionize regional logistics.

Spearheaded by the Dubai Silicon Oasis and the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), this initiative has seen its first successful application in the delivery of medical supplies. At the heart of this pioneering effort is the Fakeeh University Hospital, which plays a crucial role in leveraging drone technology to elevate healthcare services.

Currently, six drones navigate four routes within Dubai Silicon Oasis, tasked with the delivery of critical medical supplies, including medicines.
