Comprehensive Ramadan Preparations Finalised At Grand Mosque And Prophet's Mosque For Enhanced Worship Experience

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has completed its preparations for Ramadan 1446 AH. This year, efforts focus on enhancing worshippers' experiences through improved operational systems and asset management. Collaboration with relevant authorities ensures a seamless experience for visitors during this holy month.

To facilitate mobility within the Grand Mosque, the number of electric golf carts has been increased to 400. These are strategically placed across 11 locations to assist worshippers in moving around easily. Additionally, luggage storage services have been upgraded with electronic tracking at two main centers and six reception points at key entrances.

Ramadan Preparations at Grand Mosque Completed

The Itikaf experience has been improved with new services, creating a more comfortable environment for those engaging in this spiritual practice. Iftar services have also been streamlined using an advanced electronic registration system, offering a wider variety of food items in both holy mosques.

Three children's hosting centers will operate during Ramadan, providing cultural, religious, and educational activities. This allows parents to perform rituals without worry. Moreover, operational services have been enhanced with increased cleaning, sterilization, and perfuming using specialized equipment.

Restrooms are fully equipped and operational, while the number of carpets has doubled to accommodate more worshippers. Multiple Zamzam water points ensure a constant supply of chilled and non-chilled water. Gate systems have been refined to facilitate smooth entry and exit, with designated entrances for the elderly and people with disabilities.

Comprehensive plans have been developed in collaboration with relevant authorities to manage crowds within the two holy mosques and their courtyards. Informative guidance boards are placed throughout the facilities, and specialized personnel provide directions in multiple languages.

Cultural Enrichment Initiatives

Social and enrichment services include an exhibition on the construction of the Holy Kaaba and visits to the King Abdulaziz Complex for the Holy Kaaba Kiswa. Libraries within both mosques are stocked with a wide range of books, while an electronic QR code system offers access to enriching religious content.

Copies of the Holy Quran are readily available throughout both mosques. Reporting teams are on hand around the clock to address comments and inquiries from visitors. These initiatives aim to enhance spiritual experiences during Ramadan.
