EXPRO Academy: Elevating National Capabilities Within Saudi Government Agencies

The Academy of the Government Expenditure and Projects Efficiency Authority (EXPRO) is crucial in enhancing national capabilities within Saudi Arabia's government agencies. Since its establishment, the academy has aligned its training programs with the strategic goals of the Human Capacity Development Program, a key part of Vision 2030. By offering high-quality knowledge, it fosters innovation and entrepreneurship among government employees.

In the first half of 2024, over 1,400 employees from more than 75 government agencies were trained through 40 workshops. These sessions focused on change management to build national cadres' capabilities and equip them with expertise in spending efficiency. Training also covered essential areas like government procurement, planning, project management, and efficient asset and facility management.

The academy is committed to adopting and promoting best practices and methodologies according to national guidelines. It specializes in designing, developing, and implementing tailored training programs. Working closely with government partners enhances human resources skills through sustainable capacity-building solutions. The academy also measures the impact and effectiveness of the knowledge acquired by participants.

EXPRO's broader mission includes improving spending efficiency in government agencies, enhancing procurement operations, boosting project quality, and optimizing asset and facility management. The authority focuses on developing policies, systems, and methodologies that align with these goals while building and qualifying national cadres to support Vision 2030 objectives.

EXPRO was awarded the "Best Executive and Leadership Program" at the HRSE KSA Awards during the Human Resources Summit and Saudi Expo 2024. This recognition highlights EXPRO's outstanding efforts in human resources development. The award was selected from over 130 nominees from local, Gulf, and Arab entities.

The academy has established numerous partnerships through memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements with local and international entities. These collaborations aim to amplify its impact on national capability building.

By focusing on these initiatives, EXPRO continues to play a vital role in strengthening Saudi Arabia's government agencies' capabilities.
