Expo Centre Sharjah And SEIFE Collaborate To Enhance Trade Exhibitions And Economic Growth

Expo Centre Sharjah recently held discussions with the Syrian Establishment for International Fairs and Exhibitions (SEIFE) to explore ways to enhance collaboration in organising trade shows and economic events. The meeting aimed at strengthening the exhibitions sector, boosting its role in economic development, and expanding business cooperation between entrepreneurs and investors from both regions.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, met with Mohammed Hamza, Director-General of SEIFE. They discussed strategies to improve joint efforts and elevate the exhibitions and conferences industry. Al Midfa stressed the importance of diversifying strategic partnerships with exhibition centres globally, especially within the Arab region, to improve performance, competitiveness, and sustainability.

Expo Centre Sharjah and SEIFE Join Forces

Both parties examined how Expo Centre Sharjah's advanced facilities could attract Syrian companies and investors to future events. They exchanged annual event calendars to align participation and foster stronger cooperation between businesses in both countries. Al Midfa highlighted that the exhibitions sector is crucial for economic growth and recovery. He noted significant collaboration opportunities with SEIFE through joint events or tailored services for investors and visitors from both sides. "The exhibitions and conferences sector remains an essential driver of economic growth," he stated.

Mohammed Hamza expressed SEIFE's interest in a long-term partnership with Expo Centre Sharjah. He acknowledged the centre's successful track record in fostering bilateral cooperation that benefits economic sectors in both nations. Hamza added that Expo Centre Sharjah hosts over 80 specialised exhibitions annually across various sectors, offering Syrian companies numerous opportunities to expand their reach.

The discussions also focused on leveraging Expo Centre Sharjah’s capabilities in hosting major events. By doing so, they aim to attract more Syrian companies and investors to participate in upcoming exhibitions.
