Expo 2030 Riyadh Hosts Reception In Osaka To Enhance Global Cooperation Ahead Of World Expo

A reception hosted by Expo 2030 Riyadh and the Saudi Embassy in Japan took place in Osaka, gathering over 200 notable attendees. These included ambassadors, general commissioners for Expo 2025 Osaka, and influential figures worldwide. The event focused on the theme "Foresight for Tomorrow," supported by sub-themes like "Transformational Technology," "Sustainable Solutions," and "Prosperous People."

The gathering served as a crucial venue for exchanging ideas on global challenges, boosting engagement and participation. It also showcased Saudi Arabia's preparedness to host an outstanding World Expo edition. This event is part of a series of global outreach efforts to engage stakeholders early before the main event.

Saudi Ambassador to Japan, Ghazi Binzagr, who is also the Commissioner General of the Kingdom’s Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, highlighted the significance of diplomatic collaboration in his opening remarks. He stressed its role in supporting and advancing global events like World Expos.

Binzagr shared that his position has allowed him to observe firsthand how World Expos contribute significantly to strengthening international relations and fostering cooperation among nations. He remarked that the reception was "an excellent opportunity for dialogue and the sharing of ideas with participants from around the world."

The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) granted final registration approval for Expo 2030 Riyadh last month. This marked a significant milestone as the initiative moves into its execution phase. This phase includes formally inviting international participants through diplomatic channels.

Expo 2030 Riyadh is set to occur on a vast 6-million-square-meter site. It aims to welcome over 40 million visitors, making it one of history's largest and most ambitious World Expos. The event will serve as a platform for global dialogue, innovation, and cultural exchange.
