Events Investment Fund Invests SAR491 Million In Riyadh Shooting Range To Boost Saudi Sports And Tourism

The Events Investment Fund (EIF), initiated by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has unveiled its first major project: the Riyadh Shooting Range and Entertainment Complex. This development, with an investment exceeding SAR491 million (over $131 million), was announced at the TOURISE Summit in Riyadh, a key platform for global tourism innovation.

Located within Qiddiya City, just 40 minutes from Riyadh, the complex spans 457,000 square metres. It will feature a Shooting Sport venue that meets International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) standards. The facility will host both international and national events and offer training for professional and amateur shooters in pistol, rifle, and shotgun disciplines.

The venue is designed to accommodate prestigious competitions such as the Asian Games, World Cups, Grand Prix, and Olympic events. The Saudi Shooting Federation (SSF) fully supports this initiative. Additionally, the Entertainment Complex will offer activities like paintball, airsoft, laser tag, and virtual shooting for families and corporate events.

Wahdan Suliman Alkadi, EIF’s CEO, stated: "The Riyadh Shooting Range marks a major milestone in the journey of the Events Investment Fund and is our first landmark project, built to Qiddiya City’s international standards. This development reflects our commitment to creating world-class venues that enhance the Kingdom’s events infrastructure."

This project is expected to generate over 2,300 jobs and attract more than 400,000 visitors annually. Muhannad AlDawood from Qiddiya Investment Company expressed enthusiasm about hosting world-class sporting facilities accessible to both public enthusiasts and top athletes.

EIF plans to announce similar projects in other cities next year. These initiatives aim to build sustainable event infrastructure that enhances quality of life and supports economic diversification. They also position Saudi Arabia as a leading global destination for leisure and sport.

The Riyadh Shooting Range represents a significant step towards achieving Saudi Vision 2030 goals by stimulating investment opportunities in world-class venues. This development underscores EIF's dedication to enhancing the Kingdom's event infrastructure.
