Etihad Airways Reports Over 20 Million Passengers In Rolling 12-Month Period For First Time
Etihad Airways, the UAE's national airline, has shared its July 2025 traffic statistics, highlighting a rise in passenger numbers and network growth. The airline transported 2 million passengers in July, marking a 19% increase from July 2024's 1.7 million. The passenger load factor improved to 90%, up from last year's 89%, indicating robust demand and effective capacity management.
Etihad's fleet now comprises 111 aircraft, supporting an expanded network of 81 destinations, compared to 76 the previous year. This growth reflects the airline’s ongoing investments in fleet and route development. In July alone, five new aircraft joined Etihad's fleet, including two Boeing 787s, an Airbus A350-1000, an A320, and their first A321LR.

The airline welcomed 12.2 million passengers so far this year, a 17% rise over the same period in 2024. The average passenger load factor for 2025 stands at 88%, compared to last year's 86%. These figures underscore Etihad's strong performance and growing customer trust.
Etihad's rolling annual total reached 20.3 million passengers, reinforcing its status as one of the region’s fastest-growing airlines. "We continue to see strong momentum in our performance," said Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways. "Our rolling 12-month total has surpassed 20 million for the first time in our history reflecting the trust our customers place in our service and the strength of our network."
Neves also highlighted the significance of their fleet expansion: "Our fleet expansion continues with the notable arrival of our first A321LR." He added that these additions demonstrate their commitment to growth and increasing capacity across their global network.
The airline's achievements reflect its strategic focus on enhancing both its fleet and route offerings. This approach aims to meet rising demand while maintaining high service standards for passengers worldwide.
