Estonia Showcases Innovative Digital Systems And Partnerships At GITEX Global 2025
During GITEX 2025 in Dubai, Estonian technology firms are presenting secure digital systems that aid both government and private sector digitalisation and smart city initiatives. This participation underscores the strengthening partnership between Estonia and the UAE in areas like digital governance, cybersecurity, healthcare innovation, and sustainable technology.
The Estonian delegation includes seven prominent tech companies under the "Digital Nation Blueprint" banner. These companies are Nortal, CybExer Technologies, FoxSec, SelectZero, Bamboo Group, Omnicomm, and Dexatel. Each firm specialises in different areas such as digital government projects, cybersecurity training, smart building security solutions, enterprise data monitoring, communication systems, fleet management solutions, and secure communication technologies.

In the realm of digital healthcare, Estonia and the UAE have signed several agreements to enhance cooperation in electronic medical records, telemedicine, and e-prescriptions. This collaboration aims to advance healthcare innovation between the two nations. The ambassador reiterated Estonia's commitment to this partnership.
In terms of mobility and sustainability initiatives, Auve Tech from Estonia is collaborating with Masdar to test autonomous vehicles. Additionally, Dubai Taxi Company has partnered with Estonia's Bolt to launch a significant digital mobility platform in the country.
Maria Belovas, Estonia's Ambassador to the UAE, highlighted that Estonian companies have bolstered their presence in the UAE by establishing regional headquarters. Nortal operates its Middle East and Africa headquarters from Dubai Internet City to support regional digital transformation projects. Bamboo Group’s HR solutions subsidiary Yomly is based in Dubai Media City and ranks among the UAE’s top HR management firms.
The ambassador noted that other participating companies are exploring local partnerships and distribution opportunities while operating from Estonia. She mentioned that 95 Estonian companies were registered by Dubai Chamber this year—a 37% increase from last year.
Sharing Expertise for Digital Transformation
The ambassador praised the UAE's distinguished journey in digital transformation. She emphasised Estonia’s role in sharing expertise to demonstrate how seamless access to robust digital infrastructure and public trust in regulatory frameworks can drive innovation leaps. The UAE's successful adoption of these principles is unlocking vast opportunities for its economy.
The strong partnership between Estonia and the UAE continues through exchanging best practices in smart services and government data-sharing. This supports the UAE’s "Entrepreneurship Capital of the World" campaign while benefiting from Estonia’s pioneering European experience in digital entrepreneurship.
This collaboration highlights how both countries are committed to advancing their technological capabilities while fostering economic growth through shared knowledge and strategic partnerships.
