Estidamah And NEOM Collaborate To Enhance National Workforce Skills In Greenhouse Management
The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture, known as Estidamah, has entered into a strategic partnership with NEOM Food Company TOPIAN. This collaboration aims to boost skills in greenhouse management across Saudi Arabia. The agreement follows a four-week Greenhouse Crop Management program designed to enhance the expertise of farmers and specialists, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030.
Participants in the program engaged in various activities, including intensive workshops, discussion sessions, practical applications, and field visits to greenhouses. These activities were conducted in partnership with TOPIAN and the Dutch Greenhouse Delta (DGD). The program aimed to improve agricultural practices by focusing on 11 key areas such as increasing crop productivity and managing integrated pest control.

The initiative targeted a diverse group of participants, including farmers, experts, investors, agricultural companies, students, trainees, and recent graduates. Over 75 individuals attended the sessions to enhance their skills and embrace modern agricultural practices. This effort is part of Estidamah's broader mission to transfer knowledge and develop the national workforce in sustainable agriculture.
The program's comprehensive approach included topics like plant physiology, agricultural data analysis, and vertical farming. By addressing these areas, the initiative seeks to strengthen the agricultural value chain within the Kingdom. Participants were encouraged to adopt innovative techniques that contribute to a more sustainable future for agriculture.
This initiative represents a significant shift in greenhouse management within Saudi Arabia. By equipping participants with advanced skills and knowledge, it aims to localize modern agricultural technologies. The program's success is expected to have a lasting impact on sustainable agriculture systems throughout the region.
The collaboration between Estidamah and its partners highlights their commitment to enhancing sustainable agricultural systems. Through this strategic agreement with NEOM Food Company TOPIAN, they aim to implement training programs that empower individuals across the Kingdom.
The Greenhouse Crop Management program is a pivotal step towards achieving these goals.
