Esports World Cup 2025 Captivates Fans With Extensive Global Broadcasts Across 140 Countries

The Esports World Cup 2025 has begun in Riyadh, with a focus on extensive coverage and live broadcasting. This initiative aims to connect esports fans in over 140 countries, offering content in 35 languages through more than 90 media partners. The tournament will deliver over 7,000 hours of content from July 7 to August 24, across four main arenas and 26 specialized studios.

CEO Ralf Reichert highlighted the significance of this year's event, describing it as a pivotal moment for global esports. He stated, "We are utilizing our collaborations with game publishers, clubs, and media platforms. With the backing of fans, we will continue to engage with various stakeholders and partners to mold the future of esports as a global sport with a lasting cultural and economic impact for generations to come."

Esports World Cup 2025 Engages Global Fans

The event's media landscape includes partnerships with major channels like FOX Sports, NBC, and DAZN in the US; Eurosport and L'Équipe in Europe; MBC and TOD.tv in the Middle East; SuperSport in Africa; and Channel 7 in Asia-Pacific. All events will be streamed live on Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok.

This edition showcases significant advancements in technical infrastructure. Over 5,550 meters of metal structures were used for arenas and broadcasting facilities. LED screens cover more than 3,000 square meters, supported by 2,600 lighting units. The technical operations involve over 550 broadcast employees and 300 field staff.

The broadcast setup includes 325 wireless communication devices and 250 control panels. Additionally, there are 175 cameras connected to 41 servers for broadcasting highlights across four main arenas. This setup marks a substantial increase from the previous year’s edition.

The previous edition attracted over 500 million viewers worldwide. It accumulated 252 million viewing hours with a peak of 6.3 million concurrent viewers. Television coverage reached an impressive number of households globally.

Expanding Global Reach

The event's content was shared through more than 2,000 channels and co-broadcast platforms. This resulted in over 3.5 billion impressions and $1.2 billion in media value. Such figures underscore the Esports World Cup's status as one of the largest global sporting events.

This year's tournament is set to enhance its reach by increasing live broadcasting by 55% compared to last year’s edition. The broadcast will span seven weeks with content available in multiple languages through numerous media partners.

The Esports World Cup continues to strengthen its position as a leading entertainment source for new generations worldwide. Its modern approach involves collaboration with content creators and influencers to engage digital audiences effectively.
