Salik And Dubai Culture Launch Erth Dubai Through Your Eyes Competition

Artists and designers across Dubai are being asked to rethink everyday Salik tags through the new "Erth Dubai Through Your Eyes" competition, which invites original artwork that captures individual views of the city, its cultural diversity, and the creative energy shaping Dubai’s contemporary urban identity.

The competition, organised by Salik Company PJSC in collaboration with Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, is open to the artistic, creative, and youth communities. Participants are encouraged to submit designs that show personal interpretations of Dubai while also reflecting the emirate’s distinctive arts scene and the wider cultural landscape.

Winning designs will be revealed during the 14th Sikka Art & Design Festival, scheduled from 23rd January to 1st February 2026 in the Al Shindagha Historic Neighbourhood, aligning the competition with a key cultural event.

The financial awards for the "Erth Dubai Through Your Eyes" competition are structured to recognise three finalists and support further creative work on Salik tags.

Submissions will be reviewed by a judging panel that includes representatives from RTA, Dubai Culture, and Salik. The committee will assess proposals and select winning entries that demonstrate experimentation and innovation, helping highlight multidisciplinary creative talent and giving space to emerging voices within Dubai’s growing arts ecosystem.

By commissioning customised Salik tag designs, the "Erth Dubai Through Your Eyes" competition seeks to expand Salik’s visual design library while also supporting Dubai Culture’s wider mandate to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global centre for culture, an incubator for creativity, and a dynamic regional hub for artistic talent.

Salik and Dubai Culture are inviting artists, designers, calligraphers, and graffiti artists to share concepts for new Salik tag designs that speak to Dubai’s identity. The initiative aims to deepen public engagement with the brand, showcase diverse creative perspectives, and place everyday mobility infrastructure within the broader narrative of the city’s cultural life.
