ERC Launches Exhibition To Empower Productive Families In Mukalla, Yemen
The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has recently launched the second edition of the "Productive Families Marketing Exhibition" at the Hyper Consumer Centre in Mukalla, within the Hadramaut Governorate. This event, which commenced on Sunday, is set to continue throughout the holy month of Ramadan. It enjoys the support of Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, the Governor of Hadhramaut Governorate, and is conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour.
This year's exhibition sees participation from 62 productive families. The initiative aims to bolster their products by providing essential job opportunities, encouraging production activities, and ultimately enhancing their income levels. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Shawqi Al Tamimi, a representative from ERC, alongside various officials from Mukalla. They collectively extended their gratitude towards the UAE and its humanitarian branch, the ERC, for orchestrating such a pivotal event.

The exhibition showcases an array of products crafted by these industrious families. Attendees can expect to find a diverse selection ranging from handicrafts and heritage items to sewing and textile goods, along with incense, perfumes, accessories, and popular food items. This variety not only reflects the rich cultural heritage of the region but also highlights the entrepreneurial spirit of its residents.
Officials during the ceremony highlighted the significant impact of this exhibition on the participating families. By offering a dedicated platform to display their products and promote their stores, it plays a crucial role in elevating their economic status. This initiative not only aids in improving their income but also contributes to the broader goal of fostering self-reliance among community members.
The "Productive Families Marketing Exhibition" stands as a testament to the ongoing efforts aimed at supporting local communities. Through such initiatives, the ERC continues to make strides in its mission to aid those in need while promoting sustainable development practices across various sectors.
