Environment Ministry Unveils Four Investment Opportunities To Boost Agriculture And Livestock In Jazan
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has revealed four investment opportunities in Jazan Region. These initiatives aim to boost agriculture and livestock sectors, promoting self-sufficiency and food security. The projects align with Saudi Vision 2030, enhancing collaboration with the private sector.
One of the key projects involves setting up an agricultural city in Abu Arish Governorate. This development will cover 82,659 square meters and focus on growing fruit trees. Additionally, a marketing services building will be constructed to support agricultural growth in the area.

Another opportunity is the construction of greenhouses using hydroponic farming systems in Damad Governorate. Spanning 18,599 square meters, this project will focus on cultivating vegetables and other crops. It aims to modernise farming practices in the region.
In Farasan Governorate, two investment opportunities target the livestock sector. These projects focus on breeding, fattening, and producing red meat. The first covers 250,000 square meters while the second spans 160,000 square meters. Both aim to enhance self-sufficiency in red meat production.
The ministry encourages investors to explore these opportunities through the "Furas" platform. This initiative presents a chance for private sector involvement in agriculture and livestock sectors, supporting food security goals.
