ENACT Majlis To Convene 100 Global Leaders On Energy And AI For Sustainable Growth In Abu Dhabi

ADNOC is set to host a gathering of 100 global leaders from various sectors in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. The ENACT Majlis will focus on how AI, energy, and investment can work together to create integrated solutions. These solutions aim to enhance sustainable growth and global prosperity.

The event is organised by Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, who holds multiple leadership roles including Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director. It will be held in partnership with Masdar and XRG. The discussions will centre on practical ways the energy, technology, and finance sectors can drive AI's future for a world focused on growth.

The ENACT Majlis aligns with the Emirati tradition of open dialogue aimed at finding solutions. It highlights Abu Dhabi's influence in shaping the future of energy, technology, and investment while unlocking opportunities for sustainable development. This event precedes ADIPEC, a major energy industry gathering in Abu Dhabi from 3-6 November.

Expected attendees include Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for AI; Dr. Abdulla Al Jarwan from Abu Dhabi's Department of Energy; US officials Doug Burgum and James Danly; Uzbekistan's Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamahmudov; CEOs from BP, Eni, OXY, TotalEnergies, ExxonMobil, INPEX, Korea National Oil Corporation; and executives from Microsoft Corporation, Gecko Robotics, Mistral AI, Cerebras Systems, Brookfield Asset Management, United Bank for Africa, and Moelis.

Dr. Al Jaber stated that "Artificial intelligence is accelerating progress across every sector, but it’s also driving a surge in energy demand." He emphasised the importance of aligning efforts across sectors to ensure AI has the necessary power to thrive while enhancing energy efficiency and abundance.

The ENACT Majlis aims to invest in core systems essential for the AI era. This includes scalable energy solutions and advanced grids alongside high-efficiency AI infrastructure. Such investments are crucial for sustainable growth and global prosperity.

Previous ENACT Majlis Events

Two previous ENACT Majlis events have been held. The first took place in Abu Dhabi in November 2024. It focused on connecting energy with technology, policy, and finance to address increased demand driven by AI advancements.

The second event occurred in June in Washington DC. It concentrated on data centre expansion within the United States. By 2030, over one-third of new global data centres are expected to be built there.

This upcoming gathering aims to continue these discussions by exploring innovative solutions at the intersection of AI and energy sectors.
