Emsteel Joins Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week As Associate Partner To Accelerate Decarbonisation
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week has confirmed a new long-term partnership with EMSTEEL, strengthening plans for ADSW 2026 and beyond. EMSTEEL, the UAE’s largest steel and building materials manufacturer, will support the event as Associate Partner from 2026 to 2028, under an agreement signed with Masdar in Abu Dhabi.
The partnership deal was concluded by Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, and Eng. Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, Group CEO, EMSTEEL. Their agreement aligns a major industrial producer with a global sustainability platform that focuses on climate solutions, investment flows, and practical decarbonisation across economies.

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, hosted by Masdar, brings together policymakers, investors, and innovators each year. The platform aims to fast-track real-world climate action across connected systems, including energy, finance, technology, and wider society. The event is positioned as the first major gathering in the global sustainability calendar for 2026.
ADSW 2026 will run in Abu Dhabi from 11 to 15 January. The programme will open with the annual IRENA Assembly and the Global Climate Finance Annual Meeting, followed by the official Opening Ceremony and the Zayed Sustainability Prize Awards, which recognises achievements in sustainable development worldwide.
The main ADSW Summit and Dialogues will unite international leaders to debate climate and energy priorities. These sessions are designed to encourage collaboration, open up capital flows, and support new partnerships between governments, financiers, and industry. Organisers expect more than 50,000 participants from over 170 countries to attend ADSW 2026.
Key elements of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 schedule include high-level meetings and awards, as shown below.
{TABLE_1}ADSW 2026 will run under the theme "The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go". The concept underlines how energy, finance, technology, and social systems must move together. Organisers plan to spotlight scalable ideas that can shift from pilot projects to wider deployment across sectors, with a focus on measurable climate impact.
Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, said, "Welcoming EMSTEEL as an Associate Partner of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week reflects our shared drive to accelerate the decarbonisation of heavy industry. ADSW has always been a platform for cross-sector dialogues and collaboration, and this partnership is yet another demonstration of how clean energy leaders and industrial champions in the UAE are taking urgent action to advance the energy transformation together."
Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, Group CEO, EMSTEEL, added, "Our partnership with Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is a natural extension of our vision to advance a more sustainable and responsible steel and building materials industry. It also serves as a practical embodiment of our strategic identity, TrueGreen, which unifies all our initiatives toward decarbonisation and achieving climate neutrality. At EMSTEEL, we remain firmly committed to setting a global benchmark in climate action and industrial governance by delivering innovative, clean-technology solutions that enable our customers and partners to realise their environmental and economic ambitions. We are proud to be an active contributor to the global dialogue on the future of sustainable industry — right here from Abu Dhabi, the Capital of Sustainability."
The agreement between Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week and EMSTEEL links heavy industry with climate-focused dialogue and investment. With a multi-year commitment, a clear theme, and a packed programme for January 2026, ADSW is set to offer a platform for policy discussion, business opportunities, and clean technology projects centred in the UAE.
