Empowering Emirati Entrepreneurs Through Collaboration With Dubai Silicon Oasis

The Ministry of Economy and Tourism has partnered with Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), part of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), to support Emirati entrepreneurs. This collaboration aims to share expertise, develop specialised programmes, and enhance startup efficiency, both locally and globally. This initiative is part of the national campaign "The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World," launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

During a visit to the Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus (Dtec), Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, witnessed the signing of this agreement. Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi from the Ministry of Economy and Badr Buhannad from DSO signed the agreement in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of DIEZ. This partnership aims to foster a competitive knowledge economy driven by innovation and entrepreneurship.

Al Marri highlighted that this collaboration strengthens efforts to position the UAE as a global hub for entrepreneurs. He stated that "The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World" campaign unites public and private sectors to empower startups with flexible regulations and incentives, facilitating their global expansion.

Dr. Al Zarooni noted that this partnership reflects DIEZ’s dedication to supporting national entrepreneurship through impactful initiatives aligned with its 2026 Strategy. He emphasised that Dtec plays a crucial role in helping entrepreneurs turn ideas into innovative ventures by providing a supportive business environment and advanced digital infrastructure.

This agreement is expected to significantly contribute to enhancing the UAE's entrepreneurial landscape. By focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship, it aligns with the leadership's vision for economic growth.
