New Initiative To Boost Leadership Skills Among Emirati And Arab Women

The Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation (AGF), in collaboration with Skyrize Partners and Nestlé UAE, has unveiled the fourth cohort of the Nomu Women program in Abu Dhabi, a notable initiative aimed at bolstering the management and leadership capabilities of Emirati and Arab women. This program is designed to improve their career prospects and prepare them for successful roles in the corporate realm and beyond.

The latest iteration of the Nomu Women program will see 48 participants engage in a comprehensive 5-week training series. This will include developing key management and leadership skills, gaining insights into marketing and sales within the fast-moving consumer goods sector, and immersing in Nestlé's dynamic organizational culture. A unique feature of this program is the opportunity for participants to work collaboratively on a real-life case study, curated specifically by the Nestlé team.

Boosting Women s Leadership Skills

The initiative is underscored by a commitment to gender equality and the empowerment of women in the workplace, reflecting a collective ambition to generate significant community impacts. Mona Ghander, VP Programs and Partnerships at AGF, highlighted the program's goals, stating, "Through Nomu Women, we are dedicated to empowering young Emirati and Arab women with essential management and leadership skills that help create pathways to meaningful careers. It's not solely about skill development; it's about fostering future women leaders." She further emphasized the value of partnership with industry leaders in amplifying the program's impact and enabling participants to contribute meaningfully to the UAE's economic objectives.

Sarah Sefiane, Founder of Skyrize Partners, expressed pride in the partnership and the program's ability to provide practical skills and mentorship opportunities. "As the implementing partner of the Nomu Women program, Skyrize Partners is firmly committed to providing practical skills and connecting the Nomu Women participants with female mentors from the private sector, which we believe is a truly invaluable experience," Sefiane said. She underscored the strategic collaboration's role in expanding the program's reach and ensuring it delivers executive-level expertise with lasting impacts.

Sergej Pracevic, General Manager for Nestlé UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar, remarked on the significance of their involvement, "We are honored to collaborate with the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation in empowering future female Emirati and Arab leaders with the skills essential for thriving in the workforce and contributing to the ongoing progress of the nation and its youth." He emphasized Nestlé's commitment to inspiring the participants toward leadership and professional growth within the vibrant Food and Beverage sector.
