Emirati Women Champion National Development And Innovation Efforts

Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, Secretary-General of the UAE Media Council, praised Emirati women for their significant contributions to national development. He noted their ability to overcome challenges and lead in critical sectors. "With their determination, dedication, and sincerity, they have achieved the country's national goals and have fulfilled their roles to the fullest extent, solidifying their pioneering position as partners in building the UAE's present and future," Al Shehhi stated on Emirati Women's Day, celebrated on August 28.

Al Shehhi highlighted the theme "We Collaborate for Tomorrow," introduced by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak. This theme underscores the developmental and social significance of empowering Emirati women. He remarked that it mirrors the leadership's efforts in supporting women to attain advanced levels today. "Emirati women now hold the highest leadership positions, equipped with knowledge, creativity, innovation, and future planning abilities in various fields, making them a role model of pride regionally and globally," he added.

Emirati Women Lead Development

Maitha Majed Al Suwaidi, CEO of Strategy and Media Policy at UAE Media Council, echoed similar sentiments about Emirati Women's Day. She described it as a national occasion reflecting women's achievements supported by wise leadership and H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak's patronage. In her statement on this occasion, she emphasised that this day inspires everyone to strive for a brighter future for the country.

Al Suwaidi also highlighted Emirati women's pivotal role in media sector development from its inception. "They have also demonstrated their ability to engage with developments and actively contribute to building a media landscape that conveys the UAE's message, embodies its vision and values, and strengthens its position on the international stage," she said.

She urged Emirati women to continue enhancing their skills and seize opportunities within the country. This approach will help them face challenges effectively while positively impacting society. By doing so, they can create new opportunities that contribute to a more distinguished future.
