Emirati Tech Founder Programme Launched To Empower Entrepreneurs In Sustainable Innovation
The Emirati Tech Founder Programme has been launched through a collaboration between Bedayat and the Hamdan Innovation Incubator (Hi2). This initiative, part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Dubai SME), aims to empower Emirati tech entrepreneurs. The programme focuses on developing sustainable solutions to tackle various social, environmental, and economic issues.
Held at the SEE Institute, known as the region’s first net-zero emissions building, the launch underscores a commitment to sustainability and innovation. The programme offers a robust platform for Emirati entrepreneurs, providing them with necessary tools, insights, and support to turn their innovative ideas into successful ventures.

By encouraging tech-driven startups, this initiative aligns with Dubai's broader vision of sustainability and innovation. Abdul Baset Al Janahi, CEO of Dubai SME, expressed that under visionary leadership, Dubai SME is dedicated to making Dubai a leading hub for innovation and technology. "By nurturing Emirati tech entrepreneurs, we are diversifying our economy," he stated.
He further mentioned that the partnership with Bedayat offers entrepreneurs a platform to expand their ideas with essential mentorship and resources. This collaboration contributes significantly to the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33.
Faris Saeed, Founder and Chairman of SEE Institute, highlighted the importance of integrating technology with sustainable practices. "The future of sustainability lies in innovation and collaboration," he said. The programme provides hands-on mentoring and guidance to talented entrepreneurs.
This eight-week programme guides participants through crucial phases by offering specialised workshops, mentorship opportunities, and access to collaborative spaces. Entrepreneurs receive support from a community of experts committed to driving lasting change.
Creating an Ecosystem for Sustainable Startups
Bedayat is certified by Dubai SME and focuses on sustainable startups. It provides an ecosystem where entrepreneurs can test their solutions within The Sustainable City’s living lab. This environment supports the growth of sustainable business ideas.
The initiative not only helps in shaping smart cities but also prepares entrepreneurs to become market-ready. By fostering such initiatives, Dubai continues its journey towards becoming a global leader in technology-driven sustainable development.
