Abdulghaffar Hussain Donates AED 1 Million To Mothers’ Endowment Campaign

The Abdulghaffar Hussain Foundation has generously pledged AED 1 million to the Mothers’ Endowment campaign, an initiative endorsed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. This campaign aims to amass an AED 1 billion endowment fund dedicated to bolstering educational opportunities for millions in underprivileged communities. The announcement aligns with the spirit of Ramadan, underscoring a commitment to philanthropy and education.

Managed by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the campaign encourages donations in honour of mothers, symbolising their pivotal role as the first educators and nurturers. The funds raised will be channelled into educational projects across needy communities, in collaboration with various humanitarian organisations.

Abdulghaffar Hussain expressed his admiration for the initiative, highlighting its significance in valuing mothers and their indispensable role in society. He remarked, "The Mothers’ Endowment campaign is a new inspiring initiative by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, bringing a message of love, appreciation of mothers by honouring them through a donation in their name. A mother is every human being’s first memory and first teacher. It is a great honour that this humanitarian campaign is associated with mothers as it carries the beacon of knowledge and education to millions of people."

He further noted that the campaign's timing during Ramadan reflects the UAE leadership's vision for charity and humanitarian efforts. It also underscores the nation's dedication to aiding those in need globally and empowering communities towards a brighter future. Hussain added that this initiative builds upon the success of previous Ramadan humanitarian campaigns.

The campaign not only aims to foster values of respect for parents, kindness, compassion, and community solidarity but also seeks to reinforce the UAE’s role in humanitarian aid. Moreover, it promotes endowments as a sustainable means of charity that supports global sustainable development goals.

Contributions to the Mothers’ Endowment fund can be made through various channels: the campaign’s official website (Mothersfund.ae), a dedicated call centre accessible via toll-free number (800 9999), bank transfers to Emirates Islamic Bank (AE790340003708472909201), SMS donations for Etisalat by e& users by texting "Mother" to numbers (1034, 1035, 1036, 1038), the DubaiNow app under the "Donations" tab, and through Jood (Jood.ae), Dubai’s community contribution platform.
