Emirates Labour Market Award Winners Honoured By Sheikh Theyab Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed At Ceremony

The third edition of the Emirates Labour Market Award celebrated its winners at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. Organised by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, this event is the first in the UAE to acknowledge exceptional labour market practices among private-sector companies and outstanding workforces. The ceremony honoured 100 winners from around 18,000 applications, selected through rigorous evaluations based on governance standards ensuring transparency and integrity.

Dr Abdulrahman Al Awar expressed gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his continuous support of the award. He highlighted that Sheikh Mansour's patronage has significantly contributed to the award's success over the years, enhancing the UAE's reputation as a prime destination for living, working, and investing. Dr Al Awar also congratulated all winners and acknowledged the close competition among participants.

The award recognised achievements across several sectors. In the Real Estate Sector subcategory, Darwish Engineering Emirates secured first place, followed by BOSIO Construction. Four companies shared third place: Wade Adams Contracting, Ras Al Khaimah Cement Company, Desert Landscape, and Al Serh Al Kabeer Construction. The Trade Sector saw Chalhoub Group take first place, with Euro Mechanical & Electrical Contracting Company second.

In Manufacturing, Julphar Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries Manufacturers won first place. Gulf Craft came second, while Transgulf Readymix Concrete and Terraco UAE shared third place. The Healthcare Sector honoured Saudi German Hospital in first place, G42 Laboratory in second, and LLH Hospital, Canadian Medical Center, and Medcare Hospital sharing third.

The Labour Accommodation category acknowledged investments in pioneering accommodations across three subcategories: Large Labour Accommodations; Small to Medium Labour Accommodations; and Best Worker Welfare Initiative. Tasameem Workers City topped the Large Labour Accommodations subcategory. Alec Contractor led the Small to Medium category.

The Best Worker Welfare Initiative was introduced this year. Construction Workers Residential City was recognised for large accommodations under this initiative. Emirates Global Aluminium and Al Naseem Accommodation were honoured for small to medium accommodations.

Acknowledging Outstanding Workforce

The Outstanding Workforce category celebrated distinguished workers contributing significantly to the UAE labour market across three subcategories: Skilled workers; Workers at Other Professional Levels; and Domestic Workers. Abdullah Albriki from Emsteel tied for first in Management & Executives alongside Anas Kadiyarakam Puthiya from LLH Hospital.

Sivakumary Harikrishnan from Medcare Women and Children Hospital won first in Specialists. Wafaa Khaled Taieb from Sharjah American International Private School topped Technical Professionals. Ghada Mahmoud Elnokrashy from Greenwood International School shared first place in Administrative Professionals with Vaibhav Kumar Gupta from Majid Al Futtaim Hypermarkets.

Elite Category Honours

The Elite category recognises companies and individuals making significant contributions to developing the UAE labour market through direct decisions by the award committee. Majid Al Futtaim Group, DAMAC, AW Rostamani Group, Aldar Properties, and others received individual recognition under this category for their pivotal roles in implementing labour market policies.

Strategic partners were also acknowledged within The Elite category for supporting labour market policies and ensuring compliance with regulations. These included entities like the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, Port Security, Central Bank of the UAE, and Labour Accommodation Authority.

This edition was sponsored by ten companies committed to social responsibility and supporting labour market initiatives. Winning companies benefit from being placed in MoHRE’s classification system's top category. This offers discounts on services leading to financial savings. They receive Diamond classification benefits such as transaction priority processing and premium call centre services.

Cash prizes are awarded to workforce winners: AED 100,000 for first place; AED 75,000 for second; AED 50,000 for third. Individual awards follow similar prize structures: AED 100,000 for first place; AED 75,000 for second; AED 50,000 for third.
