Emirates Labour Market Award Receives Over 7,700 Entries For Second Edition Recognition
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) will honour 90 winners on 14th November in the second edition of the Emirates Labour Market Award. This event is under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. The award aims to recognise outstanding private sector companies and workforce across the UAE.
This year, two new categories have been introduced: Labour Accommodations and Special Recognition. This expansion increases the total number of categories from three to five. Due to a high turnout in the first edition, the number of winners has increased from 66 to 90. The total prize value has also risen significantly from AED9 million to AED37 million.

The award's primary goal is to enhance competitiveness in the UAE labour market by recognising exemplary practices in work environments. It also aims to protect workers' rights and improve their quality of life within private sector establishments. MoHRE stated that these efforts are crucial for advancing productivity and efficiency.
MoHRE reported receiving over 7,700 applications for this year's award, marking a 120% increase compared to the 3,500 applications received previously. This surge highlights the award's growing importance in promoting best practices and competitiveness within the private sector.
Winners will be acknowledged across five categories: Establishments, Distinguished Workforce, Labour Accommodation, Business Services Partners, and Special Recognition. This recognition not only honours individual achievements but also contributes to enhancing the overall business environment in the UAE.
Benefits for Winning Companies
Winning companies receive numerous benefits such as classification in MoHRE’s top category rankings. They also enjoy discounts on services from the Ministry, priority processing of transactions, assistance with technical challenges, and premium call centre service access.
The notable increase in participation underscores the award's success in fostering competitiveness within the private sector. It encourages best practices across various fields while boosting workers’ wellbeing and quality of life. The initiative plays a vital role in strengthening the UAE as an ideal place for living, working, and investing.
