Nominations For The Second Emirates Labour Market Award Open Until August 31

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) is accepting applications for the second edition of the Emirates Labour Market Award until 31st August 2024. This initiative, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aims to honour exceptional private sector companies and workers across the UAE. Applications can be submitted via the website Riyada.mohre.gov.ae.

Ahmad Al Nasser, Assistant Under-Secretary of National Human Resources Development and Acting Assistant Under-Secretary for Policy and Strategy at MoHRE, highlighted the award's impact. He stated, "The exceptional results that the Emirates Labour Market Award achieved in its first edition, which were made possible by the generous and continuous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, have significantly enhanced its status and the impact of its inspiring results, which were built upon in the second edition, creating an additional incentive for companies and individuals to submit their applications to take part in the award across its various categories."

Labour Market Award Nominations

The award aims to promote knowledge sharing, enhance expertise, and showcase best practices within the labour market. This helps elevate business standards and boosts competitiveness among companies and individuals. The new edition will recognise 90 winners, an increase from 66 in the previous edition.

First-place winners in the company category receive several benefits including classification in MoHRE’s first category system. They also get discounts on services from the Ministry and financial savings up to AED1.5 million. Second-place winners enjoy similar benefits with savings up to AED1 million. Third-place winners receive benefits with savings up to AED500,000.

All winning companies will be awarded MoHRE’s Diamond classification. This includes priority in processing transactions, addressing technical challenges, and premium call centre service. These incentives aim to encourage more distinguished submissions from private sector entities.

Individual Awards

Awards for individual participants include a cash prize of AED100,000 for first place. Second place receives AED75,000 while third place gets AED50,000. These awards aim to recognise outstanding contributions by individuals in various economic sectors.

The award is supported by leading UAE-based companies reflecting a high level of social responsibility within the country’s business sector. This sponsorship underscores the importance placed on recognising excellence in labour market practices.

Al Nasser added that participating in this award provides an opportunity to promote knowledge sharing and highlight best practices within the labour market. This ultimately helps elevate business standards across all economic sectors in the UAE.

The Emirates Labour Market Award continues to build upon its initial success by increasing both participation and recognition levels. The initiative not only honours outstanding achievements but also fosters a culture of excellence within the UAE's private sector.
