Emirates Health Services Hosts Future Readiness Lab To Enhance Healthcare Preparedness And Innovation

Emirates Health Services (EHS) recently hosted the "Future Readiness Lab," drawing notable figures such as Dr. Yousif Mohamed Al Serkal, EHS Director-General, and representatives from various governmental and academic bodies. The event also included local and international health experts. This initiative focused on preparing for future healthcare challenges by discussing emerging trends in healthcare and technology.

The lab featured workshops that explored topics like primary and specialised healthcare, mental health, public health, and the use of advanced technology and big data. Experts provided insights to align with EHS's mission of improving readiness and learning from global practices. This effort aims to develop a strategic plan for 2027-2031, supporting national goals for sustainability in healthcare.

Future Readiness Lab Enhances UAE Healthcare

Dr. Abdulaziz Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Financial Sector and Support Services at EHS, highlighted the UAE's vision for a future-ready health system. He noted EHS's commitment to transforming service delivery through digital infrastructure, innovation investment, and proactive solutions to enhance community well-being.

Al Zarooni emphasised that this initiative reflects leadership's vision for world-class health services, promoting sustainability, and positioning the UAE as a global hub for health excellence. He expressed gratitude for national efforts by specialised teams across governmental and private sectors to achieve excellence in healthcare.

He Atraf Shehab, CEO & Executive Director at the Government Development & The Future Office, explained that the lab is part of broader initiatives aimed at enhancing governmental readiness for future changes. By using future design tools, it empowers government employees to improve project readiness skills.

Shehab stressed crafting proactive solutions considering global changes and emerging technologies' impacts on priority sectors. This collaboration supports EHS's leadership role in anticipating future challenges with innovative solutions while seizing opportunities.

At the event's conclusion, participants reviewed workshop outcomes that generated proposals for significant projects aimed at enhancing health system integration. These initiatives support a smart transformation ensuring UAE's health services are ready for future demands.
