Emirates Health Services Collaborates With Amazon On Healthcare Innovation
In a significant move to bolster healthcare innovation, the Training and Development Centre at Emirates Health Services (EHS) has teamed up with Amazon for an interactive workshop. This collaboration is part of the "UAE Innovates 2024" initiative, marking a pivotal step towards enhancing the healthcare sector's sustainability and aligning with the UAE's broader innovation and wellbeing strategies.
The workshop brought together a diverse group of participants, including EHS leadership, Innovation Diploma graduates from EHS, Youth Council members, hospital and department directors, as well as partners and directors from universities and academic institutions. This gathering aimed to foster initiatives that align with EHS's innovation strategy for 2023-2026, contributing significantly to the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031 and the visionary goals of "We the UAE 2031" leading to the UAE Centennial 2071.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Financial Sector and Support Services at EHS, underscored the workshop's role in reflecting EHS's dedication to healthcare development and staff empowerment. The event focused on knowledge exchange, best practice sharing, and exploring innovative solutions and modern technological applications to elevate health service quality.
Dr. Kalthoom AlBlooshi, Chief Innovation Officer and Director of the Training and Development Centre at EHS, emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships in achieving continuous healthcare sector improvement. She highlighted EHS's commitment to fostering a culture of innovation in line with UAE directives, aiming to position the UAE as a leading global hub for healthcare innovation.
The innovation strategy of EHS for 2023-2026 is geared towards ensuring the sustainability of health innovations and contributing to the health sector's development. It focuses on creating an environment conducive to innovation, promoting a culture of innovation at all levels, building internal competencies, adopting pilot projects, developing experimental models, applying innovations, expanding their impact in shaping healthcare's future, and strengthening partnerships to develop health innovation.
This initiative by EHS and Amazon not only aims at enhancing healthcare services but also supports emerging companies in the healthcare field, thereby contributing to the overall development and sustainability of the health sector in the UAE.
