Emirates And Flydubai Partnership Enhances Travel Experience With Expanded Network And Loyalty Rewards

The collaboration between Emirates and flydubai stands as a model of industry cooperation, offering seamless connectivity for millions of travellers worldwide. This partnership enhances the travel experience by providing access to an extensive network and rewarding Emirates Skywards members through a shared loyalty programme.

Together, Emirates and flydubai offer a vast network of 245 destinations across 103 countries. This partnership allows Emirates passengers to explore 103 additional flydubai destinations, while flydubai customers gain access to 107 unique Emirates locations. Popular choices among travellers include Kathmandu, Baku, Krabi, Belgrade, and Zanzibar.

Emirates and flydubai Expand Travel Benefits

In 2025, new destinations were added to the Emirates network such as Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Siem Reap, and Da Nang. Meanwhile, flydubai introduced routes to Chisinau, Iasi, Vilnius, Riga, and Nairobi. These additions continue to expand the options available for travellers seeking diverse experiences.

Passenger Growth and Enhanced Travel Experience

The partnership has seen significant growth with over 5 million passengers carried on codeshare flights last year alone. This marks a 10% increase compared to the previous year. Since its inception in 2017, more than 22 million customers have travelled through this joint network.

Premium Travel Options

Travellers are increasingly choosing premium cabins for enhanced comfort. Last year saw a 20% rise in bookings for Emirates' First Class, Business Class, and Premium Economy seats. The partnership also led to a remarkable 130% increase in Premium Economy bookings.

Smooth Travel Experience

Efficient travel is ensured through streamlined check-in processes and baggage transfers. Passengers benefit from optimised schedules and access to Terminal 3 in Dubai. flydubai Business Class travellers enjoy exclusive services at Terminal 2 including personalised assistance and priority security clearance.

Loyalty Programme Benefits

Emirates Skywards continues to reward its nearly 18 million members with one loyalty currency. Members have earned 311 billion Skywards Miles and redeemed 303 billion Miles. Platinum, Gold, and Silver Tier members enjoy perks like lounge access and extra baggage allowance on both airlines.

Flexible Reward Options

The loyalty programme recently introduced Classic Rewards allowing members to book flights using a fixed number of Skywards Miles. Flydubai flight rewards start from just 5,000 Miles for over 130 destinations including Mykonos and Bodrum. The Cash+Miles option offers even greater value with discounts on ticket prices.

Both airlines invest heavily in product enhancements benefiting those travelling through Dubai. Emirates is retrofitting nearly 220 aircraft with new Premium Economy cabins while flydubai has modernised its fleet by retrofitting 15 aircraft this year alone. A dedicated Business Class check-in area at Terminal 2 further elevates the ground experience.

Operating from Dubai with a combined fleet of 363 modern aircrafts—Emirates utilising A380s, B777s, A350s; flydubai using B737s—the aviation sector remains crucial for achieving Dubai's D33 Economic Agenda goals which include expanding their network to reach 400 destinations globally.
