Best In Class: Emirates Wins Seven Awards At Skytrax World Airline Awards 2024
At the 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards held in Fairmont Windsor Park, London, Dubai-based Emirates Airline received seven prestigious accolades. These awards highlight the airline's dedication to providing top-notch products and services across all classes.
Among the honours were World's Best Airline Inflight Entertainment, Best First Class Airline Comfort Amenities, Best First Class Airline in the Middle East, Best First Class Onboard Catering in the Middle East, Most Family Friendly Airline in the Middle East, Best Premium Economy Class Airline in the Middle East, and Best Premium Economy Class Onboard Catering in the Middle East.
The awards were based on votes from thousands of business and leisure travellers from over 100 countries. Graham Pepe, Emirates' Corporate Sales Manager for the UK, accepted the awards at a ceremony attended by members of the travel and aviation industry.
Inflight entertainment excellence
Emirates' inflight entertainment system ice won 'World's Best Airline Inflight Entertainment' for the 18th time. The system offers more than 6,500 channels of on-demand entertainment in over 40 languages, including 4,000 hours of movies and TV channels, up to 3,500 hours of music and podcasts, over 2,000 Hollywood and international films, 250 dedicated kids and family channels, and hundreds of TV series and full box sets.
First-Class experience: setting industry standards
Emirates' First-Class experience secured three awards: 'Best First-Class Airline Comfort Amenities', 'Best First-Class Airline in the Middle East', and 'Best First-Class Onboard Catering in the Middle East'. Passengers can enjoy a seamless door-to-door travel experience with Emirates chauffeur-drive service (CDS) to/from airports and access to over 39 premium airport lounges worldwide.
Onboard amenities include fully enclosed private suites, 'dine on demand' service with unlimited caviar, luxurious hydra-active pyjamas, Byredo skincare products, sustainable Voya shower items, and Bulgari amenity kits.
Premium Economy & Family Travel recognition
Emirates was also awarded 'Best Premium Economy Class Airline in the Middle East' and 'Best Premium Economy Class Onboard Catering in the Middle East'. The airline's Premium Economy Class features leather seats with up to a 40-inch pitch, calf rests and footrests for added comfort, a six-way adjustable headrest as well as other thoughtful touches like easily accessible charging points and a side cocktail table.
Customers can enjoy sustainable blankets made from recycled plastic bottles along with complimentary amenity kits and best beverages. The award-winning onboard catering includes generous meals made with seasonal ingredients served on chinaware with stainless steel cutlery wrapped in linen napkins.
