Emirates College For Advanced Education Launches ICare Initiative To Strengthen Parental Involvement In Education
The Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE) has introduced iCare, a programme aimed at enhancing parental involvement in UAE schools. This initiative aligns with the UAE's Year of Community, promoting stronger social ties by encouraging collaboration between parents and schools. It highlights the crucial role families play in student success and overall development.
iCare offers interactive workshops, structured activities, and accessible resources to equip parents with the necessary knowledge and tools to support their children's learning at home. By bridging the gap between families and educational institutions, iCare fosters an environment that enhances academic achievement and emotional well-being.

Dr. May Laith Al Taee, Vice Chancellor of ECAE, stated, "Education is a shared responsibility that extends beyond the classroom, shaping the foundation of a strong and connected society. iCare embodies the spirit of the UAE’s Year of Community by empowering parents to take an active role in their children’s education, strengthening social bonds, and fostering a culture of collaboration and collective growth."
The initiative includes workshops on positive parenting, academic support, and stress management. Parents will learn about motivation, discipline, communication strategies, and practical techniques to reinforce learning at home. These sessions aim to empower parents with skills that benefit both academic success and emotional health.
Community-based programmes within iCare make learning engaging through events like Family Science and Math Nights. These offer hands-on STEM activities to spark curiosity. The Reading Together initiative encourages literacy by having parents explore books with their children, fostering critical thinking skills.
Promoting Cultural Understanding
Storytelling and cultural exchange events provide platforms for families to share diverse traditions, enhancing multicultural understanding. The Community Learning Hub serves as an online resource centre offering educational materials and guidance to help parents support their children's educational journey effectively.
By encouraging active parental participation, iCare aims to boost student motivation and improve academic performance while strengthening community ties. It presents a sustainable model for long-term parental engagement in education.
ECAE's launch of iCare reaffirms its dedication to creating a dynamic educational environment where students receive essential support. Through this initiative, ECAE continues to champion the role of families in building a knowledge-driven future for the UAE.
