Emirates College For Advanced Education Showcases AI Training Programme At GITEX Global 2025
The Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE) recently wrapped up its participation in GITEX Global 2025, joining the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion under the theme "AI-Native by Design, Community-Driven by Purpose." During this event at the Dubai World Trade Centre, ECAE unveiled its Horizons training programme. This initiative, developed with the Ministry of Education, aims to equip teachers with artificial intelligence technology.
The Horizons programme is set to train 5,000 teachers initially, with a second phase targeting 25,000 educators across UAE schools. The initiative seeks to foster a school culture that supports AI, designs adaptive learning environments, and integrates AI-powered feedback and professional reflection into assessments. It also promotes ethical school policies to enhance transparency and trust.

ECAE's projects in AI and educational technology drew considerable interest at the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion. Notable among these were the "Smart Learning for Arabic Language and Islamic Studies" project and the "School Transport System with Artificial Intelligence." The former provides an interactive digital environment supported by AI tools for self-learning. The latter enhances student safety through technologies like facial recognition and smart emergency responses.
Dr. May Laith Al Taee, Vice Chancellor of ECAE, highlighted the college’s dedication to supporting the UAE’s vision of integrating AI into education. She stated that their participation in GITEX Global 2025 underscores this commitment. "The Horizons programme and related innovations contribute to improving the education system and enriching the learning environment," she said.
ECAE is focused on building strategic partnerships and advancing training programmes. These efforts aim to strengthen its role as a leading local and global centre for educational empowerment. Through these initiatives, ECAE prepares future generations to thrive amid ongoing digital transformation within the education sector.
The college's initiatives aim not only at enhancing educational practices but also at encouraging sustainable innovation alongside collaborative learning networks. By doing so, ECAE aligns itself with UAE’s leadership ambitions in educational technology while empowering educators with skills necessary for future challenges.
