Emirates College for Advanced Education focused 2025 on building stronger educational leadership, expanding artificial intelligence in education, and growing research with global reach. The college supported thousands of teachers and school leaders across the UAE education sector through accredited programmes, new training tracks and strategic collaborations aligned with national priorities for future-ready schools.

Working with the Ministry of Education, Emirates College for Advanced Education launched the "Horizons" training programme, described as the first UAE initiative built on recent national and international frameworks. The programme aims to help educators integrate artificial intelligence into classrooms in effective, ethical and sustainable ways that match the UAE’s long-term education strategies.

ECAE leads AI education and leadership 2025

Artificial intelligence in education formed a central theme of Emirates College for Advanced Education activities. The college offered national programmes on AI fundamentals for Emirati educators, along with workshops for public school teachers from kindergarten to Grade 12. Additional training focused on the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence in education, supporting safer and more informed adoption in UAE schools.

Alongside specialist training, Emirates College for Advanced Education expanded its portfolio of internationally accredited academic programmes. These degrees and diplomas enabled thousands of educators to develop skills in teaching artificial intelligence and using modern technologies in public schools. The new offerings supported classroom innovation while aligning with global accreditation standards valued across the wider Middle East region.

Research remained a major pillar for Emirates College for Advanced Education in 2025. The college produced 60 studies indexed in the Scopus database, including 27 papers in Tier 1 journals. Around 15 percent of total research output ranked within the top 10 percent of most cited publications worldwide, reinforcing the college’s status as a global contributor to education scholarship.

Emirates College for Advanced Education continued to prepare school principals and vice principals through the "Comprehensive Capacity Building for Educational Leadership" programme. The initiative engaged 100 educational leaders and worked to develop advanced leadership tools and methodologies. The training aimed to support transformation within school communities and strengthen decision-making capabilities across the UAE education sector.

Emirates College for Advanced Education partnerships in UAE education sector

Partnerships played a core role in Emirates College for Advanced Education strategy to shape education systems locally and internationally. The college collaborated with organisations including the Ministry of Education, the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, the Emirates Literature Foundation, the UNESCO Regional Centre for Quality and Excellence in Education, and the Cambridge Centre for Behavioural Studies.

Emirates College for Advanced Education also joined the accreditation team of the Council of International Schools in Kuwait. This participation supported academic collaboration, external quality assurance and knowledge exchange around school improvement. Such roles helped align regional education practices with international standards while strengthening the college’s influence in wider Gulf and global contexts.

Student interest in Emirates College for Advanced Education programmes increased in 2025. The college received 1,795 applications during the first half of the year and 1,048 applications in the third quarter, including 601 from Emirati students. During the same year, more than 200 students graduated and presented over 20 research theses at national and international conferences.

Community engagement remained important for Emirates College for Advanced Education, highlighted by the iCare initiative, which supported parental involvement in UAE schools. Linked to the Year of Community, iCare promoted closer cooperation between families and schools and underlined the influence of parents on student achievement and holistic development, complementing the college’s wider work in leadership, research and artificial intelligence in education.
