Emirates Centre Partners With DRIFTx To Shape Sustainable Urban Mobility

The Emirates Centre for Mobility Research, affiliated with UAE University, has entered into a strategic partnership with DRIFTx, a leading global platform dedicated to advancing smart, autonomous, and sustainable urban mobility across various domains including air, land, and sea. This collaboration is set to spotlight the future of transportation and sustainable mobility at an event scheduled for 25-26 April 2024 at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi.

Organized under the auspices of the Department of Municipalities and Transport – Abu Dhabi (DMT) and in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), Abu Dhabi’s Smart and Autonomous Vehicles Industry (SAVI) cluster, and Bayanat, DRIFTx is poised to become a pivotal gathering for industry experts, entrepreneurs, and policymakers. The event aims to foster discussions that will shape the trajectory of transportation and sustainable mobility worldwide.

Prof. Ahmed Murad, Associate Provost for Research at UAE University, emphasized the university's commitment to supporting national objectives through facilitating dialogue and cooperation among key players in the mobility sector. He highlighted the significance of Abu Dhabi as a burgeoning hub for sustainable mobility on the global stage.

Dr. Hamad Al Jassmi, Director of Emirates Centre for Mobility Research, outlined the center's goal to bolster industry-academia partnerships leveraging its two decades of experience in collaborative applied research and consultancy within the transportation sector.
